Pineapple! The one we used was a bit old (you can tell by the color of the leaves) Tip: you can put the pineapple upside down to let the juices and sugars to flow down to be evenly distributed
One way to tell if a pineapple is ripe is if it's easy to pull out a leaf
Cut about an inch off from top and bottom of pineapple
Like so
Start to cut off skin of pineapple
Shave off any brown pieces
Continue shaving
Cut slices about an inch to an inch and a half
Cut the middle root out
You can cut around the dark colored area and pop it out
Like so!
Voila! Ready to eat!!
