Now choose what action your story will contain. It can feature a roller coaster, an airplane flight, a jump off of a diving board...you name it!

Now the writing begins!

Start by writing a preview. It shouldn't be too long--just long enough to express a feeling, like foreboding. For added intensity, write in second person (that's when the main character is "you").

Now it's time to write the snapshot of the action you chose. When you are finished, go through it and underline the weak action words. In writing, these words are the leak that pulls the ship down.

Replace the weak words with words from your list that fit. Make sure that your action words are spread out, not crammed into a few sentences. (Note: The action words are red just so they stand out.)

Reread your snapshot. Do you like it? Good job! Now you are finished!
