How to write because you can

Write Because You Can

2
STEPS
TOOLS

1. Steal time for write whenever and wherever you can find it . A good writer writes, writes, and writes some more.

2. Keep a journal to write names and little details about people that could help u later in an upcoming story. Write quotes that inspire your or doodle little images that give u an idea

3. Read. Reading could help you increase your vocabulary and also give you some ideas of what to write about in an upcoming story.

4. Love your tools. Your pen/pencil and your paper need some respect to I know you might think it sounds dumb but it's not.

5. Be yourself when you write. Don't get to inspired by someone and lose yourself in them, if you know what I mean.

6. Never rescue your hero in your story.

7. Force yourself to disconnect for a while each day meaning turn of your phone, iPod, iPad, music, email, etc. It will help you concentrate more, even if u don't take that little time to write.

8. Don't be afraid to get out the thesaurus and find a word that will work better in the place of the one currently there.

9. Always ask the question,'What if'

10. Harness the power of your emotions.

11. Listen to the way people talk.

12. Be inspired by other art forms that's including music, dances, paintings, sculptures.

13. Write at the scene. If it's at a park go to the park and set a blanket down and write your story. If it's in a restroom like in 1of Steven Kings books go to the restroom and write who cares if so-

meone is watching you like your crazy sitting in the restroom writing I did it once and it's not that bad well yes it stunk like litarly but hey that part of my book was awesome

14. (For when your editing) Read it aloud to yourself. You'll notice more mistakes this way.

15. If it's a nonfiction story or has something included that is real like cancer or something do your research on it

16. Say what you mean, don't mean what you say.

17. Be an explore. Meaning look at things closely&then from here look at them closer. Ex. If your writing about a bird examine their wings don't literally take their wings apart or any thing just look

18. Let your verbs in the sentence do the work.

19. Don't overuse adjectives. Too many adjectives can cause the reader to less understand the story or get confused.

20. Use figurative language. Similes Metaphors Alliteration Personification Hyperbole Onomatopoeia Oxymoron

21. It may take many rejections until you get an acceptance

22. You have to want and desire to become a writer. Know what you want to write about and make sure that is a passion that will take you places you've never been before and you will see that anything

you want to be in life you can become, because you can do anything if you believe. -I don't know we're I heard this but it inspired me so much in my life present and future

23. You should never write because you want fame and fortune write because it makes you happy think if writing didn't pay this much would I still write if it's no than stop writing and find something

that you love to do and if the answer is yes keep writing because it makes you happy and you'll likely inspire people someday

Remember:the best writers don't just follow the rules--they know when and how to break them. The key is that you have to write well enough the rest of the time that it's clear you are breaking the rul

e knowingly and on purpose.

I hope these tips help you if you want to write or become a writer. I love you guys so much thanks for taking your time to read this.
