Use a function you see your strengths in. Startups do not need generalists, they need specialists. Emphasize on your specialty in all parts of the CV and apply only to relevant positions.

Show your human side, e.g. by including your failed startup. Most times, the CEO will be assessing your, so make sure that he sees your personal side.
Many startups do a last step: reference checks. Make sure you have several references ready.
