What's happening in your story? A setting is crucial. Not just a where, but a why and what and how also. Is there romance? Rivalry? Think it all up before you start writing.

This is also another very important part of writing. Before you start on your story, plan out every aspect of the plot in some handy dandy bullet points. You can get as specific as you want.

It's finally time to start writing. The first chapter of your story is going to set a tone for the rest of the book. If you make it boring, no one will read your story. Be sure to make it good!
Now you can write the rest of your story. Here are a few tips for better writing: --don't use the same word over and over. Try to expand your vocab. --don't go into too much detail. Readers don't want
...To know what every character is doing at every second of every day. Give it enough detail to make it interesting, but don't go overboard. --stick to your plot. Don't try to change your story too
...much once you've started writing. It will just get more confusing and you will run out of ideas. Having a set plan is a major helper.

Every writer has experienced writer's block. It's okay if you can't come up with good reading material every day. If you're having trouble, stop writing for the rest of the day.
Do something that takes your mind off of your story. Then when you feel some inspiration, return to your writing, hopefully with a new point of view. Also, try to incorporate things you notice or do,
It will make writing easier. If you're looking for a neat place to write, check out wattpad.com. Amateur writers post stories there, and I've found some amazing stuff. Good luck and have fun!
