STEPS
TOOLS
First way. Baking soda and water.
Okay this is my left hand, major staining from blue nail polish.
Put about 1/2 a tablespoon of baking soda into a little bowl.
Add just a bit of water to it. You want it a little thicket then this, I added a bit more baking soda to this. Mix it up into a paste.
You can use a q-tip to dab it on your nails. Let it sit for about ten minutes, and then just wash your hands.
This is after ten minutes with the baking soda + water paste. I had major staining so I still have some. But it works.
You can also do baking soda and lemon juice. Or baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Or any combination of that.
Second way. Whitening toothpaste.
This is my right hand.
You can use any whiting toothpaste.
Looks kinda gross. Just dab some on your nails and scrub it in a little with a nail brush (or, I use an old toothbrush). Let it sit for about ten minutes, then wash your hands.
This is after ten minutes. It doesn't look that different in the pic, but I swear it's better.
I did it again for another ten minutes each hand. This works great for stained nails. When you're done make sure to wash your hands really well, and moisturize. I use Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream.
