How to weave one of van gogh's sunflowers

Use a circle tracer to trace your circle on to your paper. Then add an odd number of wide triangles to you circle to make the petals of your sunflower.

Cut out your sunflower

Tape one end of the yellow yarn to the back of the sunflower. Then wrap the yarn around the flower, going from one petal to its match across the other side.

Once you have wrapped the yarn around all the petals, tape your loose end to the back.

We are now ready to start weaving. Tie one end of the brown yarn to the center of your sunflower.

Weave the brown yarn around the spikes of the yellow yarn. Be carful not to pull your yarn tight. If you run out of yarn you may tie on a new piece.

When you have finished weaving, tie the brown yarn to one of the yellow spokes.

Tuck the knot under the center of the flower. Now If you choose attach the flower to the blue paper and paint your stem.
