Paint one or two coats of white polish. You can use a different color. But white helps the colors of your watermarble show better because sometimes they go really light.

Looks that that. All awkward taped up. It's hard to move your fingers sometimes after you tape up, so I really recommend taping and watermarbling one hand at a time.

When you pull your finger out, try to do it slowly. It help lessen air bubbles. I always forget that, so I nearly always have air bubbles.

Take the tape off, and it's way easier to clean up that amount of polish. (I redid my pinkie and forgot to tape the second time)

Fill a cap with polish remover and use a q-tip to clean up the skin around your nails. You can also use a small brush to get closer to your nail.
