How to use pemdas

We are going to learn how to use PEMDAS.

This is what PEMDAS stands for, Parenthesis, exponents, multiply, divide, add, and subtract.

Remember addition and subtraction go together and multiplication and division.

This is the problem we are going to do.

First we do parenthesis. We are going to do the first set of parenthesis. Now we follow the basic order of PEMDAS. So we do 3 squared first. It equals 4, fill in the rest of the problem.

Now you do 4+9. Fill in the rest of the problem.

Now we are going to do the next set of parenthesis. We again are going to follow the PEMDAS order. So first we are going to do 2 squared. It equals 4. Fill in the rest of the problem.

Now do 8-4. Fill in the rest of the problem.

Now that we are done with parenthesis and exponents. We move on to multiply and divide. So we do 4x6. That equals 24. Fill in the rest of the problem.

Now do 13+24. That equals 37.

So your answer is 37.
