How to use olive oil as hair treatment

I'm on a bit of a budget but love fashion, makeup and hair care - bad combination. I try to use products found in every pantry, at a low cost. Next up, olive oil as a hot oil treatment!

pour about 1/4 cup of EVOO into microwave safe dish. I've heard coconut oil can also be used but it's not as easy to find. It smells better, but olive oil scent does not linger after washing hair.

set timer on ancient microwave to 45 seconds. Oil should be warm to the touch but not scalding.

apply to hair with hands - focusing on the ends and mid lengths of hair. I like to dip my ends as shown

apply entire amount to head, comb through with a wide tooth comb and wrap in a shower cap, or like me, just use one of those hundreds of free plastic grocery bags you have around :)

wash and style as usual! I looove how soft and healthy my hair looks. I'm growing it back out once again and this helps with breakage. I do this once a month or so. Sometimes leaving overnight. Enjoy!
