For this piece I used mica powders in purple and teal as well as embossing powder in bronze. This technique is actually based on a technique that I learned from Rae, Design Team member for Swirlydoos.

First, cover the chipboard piece with the dimensional paint. The coverage does not need to be even. Again, this is a technique I learned from Rae. She used Perfect Pearls-you could here, too.

Now, randomly sprinkle mica powders and bronze embossing powders over the chipboard piece.

Here, I used purple.

Now, use the embossing heat gun to melt the embossing powders. This will cause the paint to bubble up a bit in places (I pushed the bubbles down). This will cause the distressed look.
