Your tween/teen child comes home and says everyone has Instagram. What do you do?
First you should ask them why they want it so much and it’s ok not to be the same as everyone else
Is it healthier for them to have the app or not?
From experience it’s healthier to let them get the app because if everyone else has it they’re talking about the new photo/ video on Instagram and it is likely that your child will feel left out
Compromise on having a private account and only letting friends follow them.
If they turn their account public without you knowing listen to their reasons and decide if it’s ok to let them have the app or not
If they let someone they don’t know follow them simply ask your child why they accepted the request. and decide if it’s ok to let them have the app or not
If it’s someone you know your child loves like a celebrity. Check carefully to see if it’s a fake account an then decide if it’s ok
If your child sees something that scares them and gives them nightmares then maybe block whoever's account they saw it on if it was a one of just tell them not to look at things like that again
if you find they've commented something rude on their post or they've done it to someone else block that user.
now hopefully you will know the fair deal and how it works.
