How to use a manual car

Be sure your car or truck is a manual, and you are on a flat area to practice

When you get in the vehicle be sure it is in neutral, this is in the middle and allows you to move your shifter side to side

Press the clutch in (and brake if the area is not flat you will roll)

Release the handbrake by pressing the button and pushing the lever all the way down. (while brake and clutch is in)

Next start the car (while brake and clutch is in)

While the clutch in compressed and your handbrake is released and your foot in on the brake to keep you from rolling, move into first gear, this is all the way to the left and up.

Now that you are in first gear, try to get going by slowly releasing the clutch while applying some gas, if you release the clutch to fast with not enough gas the vehicle will jump and stall.

Once you get the hang of it, try to move to higher gears, second then third

Remember it may be tricky but take your time, everyone has their own way of driving a manual so just stick with it and have fun
