Grab a cardboard box that's a suitable size. Cut the top off so the box is open at the top.

Rip strips of paper. This is our base that we will use as a canvas to paint & decoupage on. I used strips of newsprint paper.

Add the strips of newsprint using Mod Podge or liquid white glue. Keep adding layers of newsprint until the entire outside of the box is covered. Once the box is covered then allow to dry.

At this point just have fun! I added a coat of white paint and am now ready to add a design. I'm using glitter, coloured tissue paper & letters/images from old magazines.

I used Mod Podge to decoupage my design on the box. Add Mod Podge then start gluing your cut outs to the box. At the end I always add glitter. Why not!

The final step is using the hole punch to add a hole to each of the sides of your gift bag. This is for the ribbon handle. Once you add the ribbon then you're done!
