Head to the Twitter account you would like to follow for alerts and then click on the people icon, circled above.
Click on 'turn on notifications' button
Once this has been selected, you will receive pop up alerts - like receiving a text notification when phone is locked - when they send out a tweet. See example on next slide.
Alerts will pop up like a text message when phone is in locked mode.
How to check that's its turned on and how to turn it off
Head to your Twitter profile, click on setting icon - left of people icon - and then press settings.
Click on notifications under your own Twitter handle.
Click on alerts, as shown above
And there it is. To turn off, simply slide it across.
