How to tie a double bow (& rejuvenate plain bracelets!)

Here are your supplies. Simple, right? Note! The length of the ribbon results in its size, so adjust as you please. Also, there's a LOT of looping, so if you feel confused, leave a comment & ask.

Okay! Wrap the ribbon around two fingers, having one strand in the front and the other at the back.

Loop the ribbon on the outer right side over your second finger and under your first.

With the strand you just weaved, wrap it over your first finger and under your second. It's the reversed procedure of Step 4.

Insert the ribbon through the small gap in between your two fingers...

It helps to keep your thumb in between the strands to create a loop (you'll see why next).

With the strand you have just weaved, pull it out SLIGHTLY, just so it creates a small loop like so.

Thread the outer right strand back through the loop you have just loosened...

...and tighten! It should create a knot. Try to align the knot to the middle. Remember: knot it tightly!

Here's an additional pic. If you don't knot it tightly, it will fall apart when you loosen your fingers. Go ahead and loosen your fingers, VERY carefully.

Go back to Step 9. Once you have weaved through the small gap between your fingers, add the bracelet to the strand just weaved. Carry through from Step 9 (the only difference is the bracelet there).

Add the bracelet through just like that. Push it further up (it'll just be easier to tie). Weave the strand through the loop (like before).

Just like in Step 12, tie the knot firmly.

Move the bracelet so that it is at the back of the knot, (or in front of your hand).

Now we're going to tie a second knot to secure it. Adjust before proceeding.

Move the two strands so that one is on the INSIDE of the bracelet (like the left strand in the pic) and the other on the outside.

Now to trim: pinch the strand down the middle. Test this on another ribbon before cutting, just to familiarise yourself.

Cut at an angle like so. Tilting the scissors towards your hand (I'm right handed and held the ribbon with my left).

Burn the edges to prevent tearing. Do this with caution! The shape can easily be lost with over burning (Shown in the pic).
