1) Bring your camera closer to your subject. Even with iPhone you will get nice blur effect. More closer you are, more blur you will get.

Set your camera in aperture priority mode. It will automatically set shutter speed and ISO settings. Then set your aperture on minimal value. If your lens will aloud you try f/2.8 or less.

Be careful with depth of field. If you will open your aperture to high you can blur more than you need.

Try to you use long focal-length lenses or if you have lens with changeable focal-length set it for highest value. For example if you have 24-70mm lens, set it to 70mm to get maximum blur effect.

Feel free to make experiment with aperture settings. Your camera wont be broken ;)
