Cut the strings and then remove them from the racket

This machine uses 2 clamps to hold the racket but other models may have a different mechanism.

The part on the bottom left is where you set the tension

Choose your string. Take it out of the package and cut it into 2 equal length pieces.

The string is long and curly so finding the middle can be difficult

String the mains first. Those are the strings that go from handle to the top of the racket.

Start from the middle of the racket. This can be at either end though the middle of this racket is by the handle.

Take one piece of string and put each end through one of the two holes in the middle, then through the corresponding hole at the top of the racket

Pull both ends of the string all the way through the racket keeping both sides and equal length

Clamp the string near the handle.

Put the string in the top part and crank it back until it clicks. Then put the other clamp at the top of the string so that the tension isn't lost.

Once you reach the edge of the racket find the hole that is big enough for the string to go through twice. Put it through and tie a knot.

Once you have tied off both ends you are done with the mains. All the strings should be tight and in straight rows.

Now onto the crosses. Take the other piece of string and find the hole at the top of the racket which says knot.

This is where you will put a knot to begin the crosses

Once you've tied your knot feed the string through the top most hole and then weave it through the mains. Once it is through the hole on the other side tighten it the same way you did the mains.

Continue weaving the string from side to side making sure to alternate whether the string goes over or under the same main string.

The end product should look like this

Once you reach the bottom of the racket there should be another hole marked tie off

Feed the string through that hole and tie the knot the same way you did for the mains.
