This is my guide to stretching - to be done before and after a workout
Legs wide apart and hang to the centre... Do not bounce as it puts added strain on your muscles during the stretch
Keep your legs apart and stretch to one side leading with your chest (not with your head)
Now stretch to the other side - again leading with your chest and not your head
Now the flamingo stretch - hold one leg and keep your balance - knees close, back straight and chest out
Same again on the opposite leg for a further 10 seconds
Then keeping one leg straight, bend the other and stick your bum out... Only lean on the bent leg... Pointing your toes towards the ceiling will stretch you further
Same again on the other leg and remember do not lean on the straight leg, and keep your toes pointed towards the ceiling :-)
Now stretch your arm across your body an hold with your other arm
Repeat with your other arm twisting as you do so
Stretch your arm behind your back holding it at the elbow with the other arm
Same again with the other arm, again holding it with the other hand for 10 seconds
