After doing a quick rinse and removal of the top layer, pat dry.
After the lettuce is dry wrap it in a paper towel. This will extract excess moisture.
Now put the lettuce in a ziplock bag and push out the excess air.
Close up the bag and add it to the crisper drawer.
It should be good for 2 weeks or more as long as your paper towel is dry. This means replace the towel if wet and make sure to push the air out whenever the bag is open. It should last 2 weeks or more
This works for all types of lettuce and fresh spinach.
