How to stay safe online

To be safe online you need to have a strong password, to do this make sure you include caps, numbers, lower case and make it atleast 8 characters.

If you have a webcam in your room, make sure you turn it off, if you dont know how to turn it off then turn it around or cover it with something.

Make sure that when you are on an online app you only talk to people that you know and make sure that your profile is private or that the settings are set so only friends can see your profile.

Make sure that if you think you or someone you know is being cyberbullied then make sure you report the user and contact CEOP (which is an online safety website) or make sure you tell someone.

If someone who you don't know sends you a link to something you didn't expect then you should never open the link until you are sure about what it contains. Some hackers can put a virus into a link.

If you are talking to someone on an online game and they start asking questions about your personal information, leave the game and unfriend them.
