How to start a zentangle

Start by creating a frame for your Zentangle. It can be any shape. You can even use block letters.

Draw strings using your pencil. Strings are simply different shapes or sections.

Begin filling each section with repetitive patterns. Shading can also be added.

Add color and value as desired or until you reach a balanced composition.
