If your thinking my fishing lines look a lot like shoe laces, good job. I'm going to use shoe laces in order to help see what to do with each line and to simply see the lines.

First, cross the two lines across each other.

Next, your going to wrap your left line (black in this case) around the other line four times.

Next, your going to wrap your left line (black in this case) around the other line four times.

Then you make a loop with the black line by feeding it between the wrap of itself and the white line.

Then you make a loop with the black line by feeding it between the wrap of itself and the white line.

Now take the end of the other line and bring it through the loop you just created.

Put the two line ends in your mouth to hold them, then pull the lines tight.

Snip off the ends and you have a sturdy fishing splice! If it doesn't hold try leaving a little more of the ends on so it doesn't slip through. Now go out and catch the big one!
