Today I went to my daughter's softball championship game, I cheered a lot. Too much maybe. My throat is killing me.
I heard that cold water and apple cider vinegar can fix my pain. I'm a bit skeptical, so I decided to try it.
Supplies. I put my glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill it. I used about 1/2 - 1 cup of water, I didn't measure.
Measure 1TBS (tablespoon) of apple cider vinegar, add to cold water.
Mix apple cider vinegar into the cold water.
Once mixed, gargle the mixture and then spit it out. It doesn't taste as awful as I thought it would, but it's not particularly pleasant. I rinsed with tap water between gargles.
I repeated the gargle, spit, rinse process several times. I definitely noticed it soothing my pain, much like gargling with salt water. Both taste equally awful, so its your choice which to use. 😝
I saved the remainder of my mixture so I could repeat the steps again later. I did a little research and found that apple cider vinegar with or without honey is a common remedy👉
-for sore throat and heart burn, among other things. Some people said they used warm water & honey, some drank a shot of vinegar every day. Some added cayenne pepper. No thanks!
Apple cider vinegar & honey are not for kids under two years old. Honey can cause infant botulism. For more information on that- look it up. :) if you have a sore throat remedy, please post.
