How to solve a problem with the order of operations

If you find it hard to remember the order, then the first thing you want to do is create a Chart with the orders. :)

The 2nd/1st step is to make up a problem. Have some one make it up or roll a dice to get the #'s

The 2nd step is... To remember that parenthesis go 1st so 7, small 2 x7 will be the first thing you solve.

3rd Step... Whenever you see a small 2 behind a # it means you have to multiply the # by itself. (Ex: 7 with a small 2 7x7= 49

In the 4th Step... You need to see that inside the parenthesis it is multiplying so you have to find the answer to that which Is 343. Now it's time for the next step...

The 5th thing you need to do is...Carry the 343 from when you multiplied and then divide 343 by 5... To solve that you can use the division algorithm and that will give you the answer of 69...

In the 6th step...You carry the 69 and add 9 to 69, then that will give you 78...Now time to subtract.

In The Last step you have to subtract 1 from 78... Then you have an answer of 77... :)

That Leaves you with a final answer of 77...:) And that is How To solve a problem using the Order of Operations :)
