STEPS
TOOLS
Map out the face. Draw lines where you want the feature to go. Try to keep the lines very light and even
Mark in basic outlined for ears eyes nose an mouth. Light at this stage. This way you can change things later
Mark in the hair. Do whatever style you want! You can draw my original character. But give me credit if you use my character as your reference. :)
Start detailing the eyes. The lid is dark, and the lid casts a shadow right under it. Bottom area of eye has reflected light. Turn the frown upside down. Sorry that was by accident in the sketch.
Now, darken the pupil in the eye. Draw an arc to define the shines in the eye. You can darken the eyelids as you see fit.
Darken lines you want to keep. We still have a few steps before erasing messy lines. Start defining hair and face with heavier lines. (medium pressure)
Shade the hair in.pay attention to where the light is coming from. Mind where the shadows would be too.
I lightly blended the hair by smudging it lightly. Then I erased the guide lines.
Define any last details and darken anything you really want to emphasize. Not too much though. Blend and shade in a shadow on the skin.
Add any other details, and clean it up. You're done!!
The hair wasn't perfect and I could of blended more. The camera sucked too. But keep persevering!! Share your art with me at Thunderxd.deviantart.com or raindance22.tumblr.com
