Add the rice to a pan and wash until the water is roughly clear.
Add the water and bring it to a boil.
Once the water is boiling put a lid on the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes take the pan off the heat and leave it for 30 minutes. Do not take the lid off of the pan until the 30 minutes are up.
After 30 minutes take the lid off of the pan and your rice is cooked!
