You need to install OSX Lion server from the app store.
You also need to get the Server Admin app from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1419
Make sure your server is named properly and it resolves by DNS.
Go to http://deploystudio.com and download the newest stable version.
Install server, server admin, deploystudio and then make sure your computer is up to date.
Create a folder to house your images. I called mine "Images". We will share this later.
Start Server Admin and add a service
Add NetBoot and start it.
Start server app and click on users.
Add a new user. Mine is called dsadmin.
We are going to share our images folder. Click on File Sharing and add your images folder.
Add dsadmin as a read/write user on the share.
Now let's configure Deploy Studio using the deploy studio assistant.
Go to "Go" and utilities and start the Deploy Studio Assistant. We want to set up a new deploy studio server.
Enter the user we created earlier.
This will be the master.
We want to use a network share point.
Use the above information and enter your server name. If you get an error about not being able to mount the share you need to check your DNS or you can just put in your server IP address.
Your deploy studio server is set up. Next guide will cover using it and adding images.
