Preparation: align front foot 45 degrees past clockwise to aiming spot, as your left foot faces the target. Position yourself right behind the baseline, near center mark and crosscourt to intended box
Toss and backswing: ball in non-dominant hand, locking left elbow. Toss ball without the fingers about 24 inches in front of the body. Sweep the racquet low, bringing it parallel to court.
Contact: transfer your weight from back to front foot. Contact the ball in front of the lead foot at the apex of the racquets reach.
Follow Through: snap the wrist downward as the racquet continues down and across the body. Hips rotate counterclockwise bringing the right leg forward and across the baseline. Finish ready position.
