Go to: Settings > Display & Brightness - The lower the brightness the better the battery life. Turn on auto brightness for optimum brightness in every scenario.

Use Static Wallpaper

Go to: Settings > Wallpaper - Don't use a dynamic wallpaper to save battery. Use a still image instead.

Control Center Options

Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access control center. 1. Turn off Wi-Fi when not in use. 2. Turn bluetooth off when not in use. 3. Turn airdrop off when not it use.

Turn Off Notifications

Go to: Settings > Notifications - Turn off all notifications for unnecessary applications.

Turn Off Location Services

Go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services - Turn off location access for unnecessary applications.

While still in location services, scroll to the bottom and open System Services. Turn off "Location-Based Alerts," "Location-Based iAds," and "Diagnostics & Usage."

Turning off other options in this section will also help battery life. For instance, I have turned off the location service for "Spotlight Suggestions"

Go to: Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & Usage - Choose Don't Send. This will save battery by not sending diagnostic information over the Internet.

Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion - Turn on Reduce Motion. This reduces the movement of your background which requires extra power.

Turn off Background App Refresh

Turn off Background App Refresh

Go to: Settings > General > Background App Refresh - Turn Background App Refresh off. This will disallow apps from automatically updating in the background

Check Battery Usage

Check Battery Usage

Go to: Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage - You can now see a list of all of your apps and how much battery they consume. Use this as a guide to determine if you have power hungry apps.
