This tutorial is meant to provide suggestions for saving your iPhone's battery life on iOS 7. It provides step by step instructions on how to turn off unnecessary, battery hungry features.
Brightness & Wallpaper
Go to: Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper - The lower the brightness the better battery life. Turn on auto brightness for optimum brightness in every scenario.
Go to: Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper - Don't use a dynamic wallpaper to save battery. Use a static image instead.
Control Center Options
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access control center. 1. Turn bluetooth off when not in use. 2. Turn airdrop off when not it use.
Go to: Settings > Notification Center - Turn off all notifications for unnecessary applications.
Go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services - Turn off location access for unnecessary applications.
Turn Off System Services
While still in location services, scroll to the bottom and open System Services. Turn off "Diagnostics & Usage" and "Location-Based iAds"
Limit Ad Tracking
Go to: Settings > Privacy > Advertising - Turn on Limit Ad Tracking
Turn off Diagnostics & Usage
Go to: Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage - Choose Don't Send. This will save battery by not sending diagnostic information over the Internet.
Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility - Turn on Reduce Motion. This reduces the movement of your background which requires extra battery.
Turn off Background App Refresh
Go to: Settings > General > Background App Refresh - Turn Background App Refresh off. This will disallow apps from automatically updating in the background.
