How to roller set hair

Start with clean, shampooed hair...

Apply setting lotion or mousse. Comb thru to distribute the setting agent...

Determine the width of sections by the width of the rollers...

Determine the depth of sections by the circumference of rollers...

Comb each section of hair from the scalp and wind onto rollers with tension. Make sure the hair is smooth and not bunched...

Try to place rollers as close as possible to help eliminate splits in the finished look...

Place client under the dryer for up-to an hour depending on texture of the hair...

Once dry, gently remove rollers...

Loosen curls with fingers, as some clients will LOVE this look. This look will create lovely up-do's too!

Comb-out finished look. Spray with holding or finishing spray (optional).
