Locate your temples. Use your thumbs and simply massage, in a counter clockwise motion.

Place your thumbs at the back of your neck, on the base of your skull on the two sides of your spinal column. Tilt your head back a bit and press your thumbs in while pushing slightly upward.

Find the meaty part on the back of your hand. It is just above the webbing between the thumb and the index finger. Using your other thumb, squeeze the muscle by pressing down hard.

Using your index fingers, gently massage the inside ends of your eyebrows just above the bridge of your nose.

Place your index finger between your big toe and your second toe. Move your finger up to where the bones of your toes meet the inside of your foot. Press that point straight down.

Watch your posture. According to the Mayo Clinic, proper posture can both prevent and treat headaches by supporting your body and preventing strain on your muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Apply ice to your neck, forehead or scalp to get rid of a headache without medicine. You can also try alternating hot and cold. Take a shower and follow it with a cool compress.

Yoga, meditation, aromatherapy and tai chi are excellent methods of reducing stress levels and easing muscle tension. Just simple yoga, nothing crazy.

Stay away from highly sugared food Highly sugared food or food additives such as preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, can induce headaches.

Consume foods that are high in magnesium like broccoli, beans, soy milk, nuts, spinach, etc.

Lemon juice in tea or water can help to dispose of the headache

Ask someone to rub your neck and back, or treat yourself to a massage. Who doesn't want a massage, eh?

Have sex. That's right. Can't use that excuse anymore..

Get regular exercise. Try to exercise for 30 to 60 minutes, four to six times a week.

Take a nap. A headache is a great excuse for a nap..

Peppermint and chamomile are great aromas for headache relief.
