How to refill the deer fortress

The Deer Fortress are expensive to buy so I decided I would attempt to refill them rather than purchasing new.

Gather all of the deer fortress you want to refill

Take the two piece unit apart.

Clean out the unit and line with a coffee filter punching a hole in the filter to let the center through. 4 cup coffee filters work great.

Fill the coffee filter with blood meal or deer repellant.

Tuck the filter around the repellant leaving the center open to put the stake back in. Put the two pieces back together and reinsert the stake.
