How to look up a verse in the bible. Step 1: Read the verse or passage that you want to find, such as John 3:16.

Step 2: Find the book. If you don't know where the book is, go to the beginning of the Bible and look at the Table of Contents to locate the book.

Step 3: Find the chapter. "3" refers to the chapter in the book of John where the verse is located. The number before the colon will always refer to the chapter of the book.

Step 4: Find the exact verse. The number after the colon will always refer to the verse in that chapter. Once you find it, you have your verse right next to it.

Key information from page 14. The bible is inspired? When saying, the bible is inspired it means that it is either based off of or inspired what they believe in and what they have been told.

Truth in the bible? The word truth is used to describe if the bible is based off of real events, most Catholics believe the bible. Is the truth and that is their understanding.

Myth in the Bible. These are an attempt to explain in a profound way the creation of the universe and all that is in it; modern-day science continues to explain how the world was created.

Problem with Biblical Transitions. There would have been quite a lot of problems in the transitions, such as misunderstandings - since the languages changed people did not understand each other.
