How to read a bible

The map of the Old Testament is full of lots of countries and the most important one is Canaan.

Canaan is a land bridge. For those who do not understand the definition of land bridge it is basically a stretch of land which connects trade between Asia, Africa and Europe.

The bible is inspired by teachings we should follow.

Type of story - Genesis Genesis is a great example of a foundation myth. It give us something to relate back to for the creation of the world.

The bad things about translation for stories

1. Memory isn't reliable. We must remember that when people get older they start to forget stuff/ meaning of story.

2. Definition and spelling. Definition and spellingis tricky to translate especially when translated to English for example boy - buoy.

Gospels

Matthew's Gospel was written to the Jewish people of his day somewhere between 85 and 105.

Mark's Gospel written to the people in Rome somewhere in A.D. 70.

Luke's written to Theophilus around 80-100 AD
