Start by unscrewing the top of Valve 1

Repeat step 1 for the rest of the valves until all valves have been unscrewed and removed from the trumpet

Next you will need your valve oil for the next steps. The valve oil I have is very effective in keeping the keys moving fluently.

Repeat the process for the rest of the valves. Only oil the part of the valve where my index finger is pointing.

Be sure to note the number on each valve located just below the metal screw cap , so as to not place them in the wrong valve slot.

Repeat the process for the rest of the valves. Be careful NOT to over thread the screw cap! Doing so will result in the trumpet not functioning correctly when playing notes.

Make sure the tops of the keys are also screwed until you hear a small click. This indicates they are locked into place and ready to begin playing notes again.
