What is Prewriting? It is using strategies to come up with ideas before staring your first draft.
Prewriting is a positive way to get ideas down on paper without criticizing your work. There are no dumb ideas.
Before Prewriting:

Know your audience.

Determine the purpose.

Narrow down your subject.

Generate raw material.
Different ways of Prewriting:

Bubble maps: Shows the connections between ideas.

Keep a journal: Allows you to privately experiment with different styles of writing and get ideas down on paper.

Group brainstorming: Generates more ideas by expanding the possibilities.
