Use a thermometer to watch the temperature and try filling the bath to be around 100°F. (Don't worry too much about the initial temp, the Jobo will get it to the proper place for you.)

Turn Jobo on and set to 38°c (100.4°F) . The heater will turn on if your water is under temperature and will stay off if the water is over temperature. This is indicated by the red light.

The Jobo may take some time to stabilize at the proper temperature, you can mix chemicals while the Jobo is at work.

Clearly mark all chemical bottles. You will mark one for Developer one for Blix and one more for Stabilizer. (Blix is short for bleach fix so here I checked both.)

Start by heating the distiller water. You will need 1600ml distilled water at 110°F for mixing chemistry.

Start by heating the distiller water. You will need 1600ml distilled water at 110°F for mixing chemistry.

To be most accurate; overheat the water to about 120-130°F and regulate the temperature to 110°F by adding cool water at the time you mix the chemistry.

The Blix is still has a bit of pressure to let off so cap it, shake it then release the pressure a few times. (It will blow the lid off your developing tank otherwise.)

Water for stabilizer does not need to be heated. Stabilizer can be used at room temperature and therefore does not need to be placed in the tempered bath.

Place developer and Blix bottles into the Jobo's tempered bath.

Use a thermometer to make sure the bath and each solution individually are at 100°F before you begin development. Occasionally stir the bath and rotate chemistry bottles to even temperatures quickly.

Make sure to rinse the thermometer when using one between multiple solutions. Always check the developer temperature before the Blix..

Once everything is to the desired temperature you are ready to develop some color film!
