How to play the b flat scale on a bass guitar

Place your preferred finger on the A string, the second to top string.

Pull your finger on the A string back while your preferred finger is in the spacing of the nut and the first fret on the neck. This is the first note in the scale, B flat.

Do the same as in step two, except place your finger between the second and third fret. This is the second note in the scale, C.

Place your finger on the D string, or the second to the bottom string.

Playing this string without placing any fingers on the fretboard. This will be the third note in the scale, D.

Place your finger between the nut and first fret on the D string. This is the fourth note in the scale, E flat.

This is the fifth note in the scale, F. Place your finger between the second and third frets to play this note.

Place your finger on the bottom string, this is the G string.

Playing the G string without any fingers on the fretboard is the sixth note in the scale.

Placing your finger between the first and second frets will make A, the seventh note in the scale.

The eight note in the scale is B flat, which is played by placing your finger between the second and third frets.
