How to play rumy

The purpose of this game is to you have to get 500 points and you win the game.

Step 1: You should get 2-4 players to play with you.

Step 2: Next you deal out 7 cards to each player.

Step 3: Before your every turn you have to draw a new card or you pick one up from the discard pile.

Step 4: After every turn you must discard in the discard pile and lay the cards that you have discarded in a line.

Step 5: If you pick up only 1 card you don’t have to lay it down in front of you but, if you pick up 2 cards or more you have to lay it in front of you.

Step 6: The minimum of cards you can lay down is 3 so if you have 3 8’s you can lay them down. If you have a run like of 5,6,7 they all have to be the same suit so like a 5,6,7 of spades.

Step 7: If you have a card that you can lay on someone else’s piles they’ve laid down you can do that.

Step 8: If someone goes out you have to count up the cards in your hand for example if I had an ace, 4,7,9,and a jack I would have 40 points against me.

Part 1; What cards are: an Ace, King, queen, jack and, 10 are all worth 10 points. 2 to 9 are all worth 5 points.

Part 2; What cards are: If you lay down ace, King, and queen that ace is 15 points to the good. But if you have an ace, 2, 3 it’s only 5 points.

Part 3; What to do with your aces: You should try and get rid of all your aces before anyone goes out because aces are 15 points against you if you have them in your hand.

If you get these rules then you’re off and playing! (P.S. this game might be hard at first it takes practice!)
