How to play easy guitar chords

1.) Go to a quiet place with your guitar.

3.) Before you play, become familiar with the parts of the guitar.

4.) Note what the letters each string are (from lowest to highest note) E, A, D, G, B, and E.

5.) Look at the different fret boards and count the frets as fret 1 at the top of the guitar, 2 next, and so on.

6.) Hold your guitar with the fret board going to the left and the lowest e string closet to you.

7.) The first chord you will play is a G Major.

8.) To play your first chord, place your middle finger on the 3rd fret E string.

9.) Next, place your pointer finger on the 2nd fret A string.

10.) Then, place your ring finger on the 3rd fret B string.

11.) Last, put your pinky on the 3rd fret, high E string.

13.) It may be hard at first to get all the strings to sound out, but keep trying and practicing!

14.) The next chord is a D Major.

15.) To play a D Major chord, place your middle finger on the 2nd fret G string.

16.) Next, place your pointer finger on the high E 2nd Fret.

17.) Then, place your ring finger on 3rd fret A string.

19.) You just played a D Major chord!

20.) The last chord you will play is a C Major.

21.) Place your pointer finger on the 1st fret B string.

22.) Next, place your middle finger on the 2nd fret D string.

23.) Lastly, place your ring finger on the 3rd fret A string.

26.) Add your own strumming beat, and keep practicing!
