STEPS
TOOLS
Clear the area you are wanting to seed. Can be done by mowing on lowest setting.
Use a Weedeater or Edger to remove remaining grass or weeds.
Fence off the area to keep kids or pets out.
Spray remaining grass and dirt with grass and weed killer. Will need to repeat at least 1 time to ensure proper coverage.
Add seed spreading it evenly over the chosen area. Cover lightly with top soil. Water using small area sprinkler for 4 minutes. Rotate sprinkler until entire area has been watered.
Water as describe on previous slide once per day until grass reaches maturity.
Continue to nurture your baby Fescue grass checking it frequently.
Grass will begin to fill in as you continue to water and care for it.
This is where patience comes in handy.
Some areas fill in where others take a bit longer. Just keep at it!
Slowly it starts to fill in, just don't give up.
Not quite to maturity, but looking good.
Continue to water and nurture. You can probably take down your fence at this point.
Before you know it, your lonely patch of dirt will be filled with beautiful Fescue grass.
