Take whichever color you choose and paint the large letter. Here I liked the way that only 2 coats still showed the grain so I left it.

Paint the smaller letters in another color. These take more coats because they are more absorbent.

Use the wood glue to put it all together and your all done! It can go on a shelf or you can attach ribbon on the back to hang it on the wall.
