I choose white wood filler because I am painting it with primer so it doesn't matter what wood filler I use
You want to sand down all damaged areas of the ikea furniture then wipe them down with a damp cloth
Use the wood filler to fill in all the holes so they don't show threw once you paint it.. Once u have filled them in take a putty scraper to level out your holes.
I used a metal ruler because I wanted to save some cash..
Lay out a sheet or garbage bag incase of spills.. Prime each piece.. It doesn't have to be perfect...
I suggest doing 3 coats of primer if you have more damage on the furniture.. Give it long enough time to dry..
This is after 3 coats it had a lot of damaged areas.
Once the pieces are completely dry sand them down lightly to hide brush marks and fix any drips
Once that's done you are ready to spray paint.. Use the spray paint outside or in a well ventilated area.. I live in an appartment so I'm spray painting on my balcony..
And there you have it
- 680.0g Of fast drying spray paint (2 cans)
- 1.0 Paint prush
- 1.0 Can of primer
- 1.0 200 grit sand paper or more to remove imperfection
- 1.0 Tube of wood filler
- 1.0 Putty scraper
