How to paint gradient nails

Apply your base coat. (you don't need a base coat, but I always use one.)

Once base coat is dry, apply one coat of your lighter color of polish

Take your make-up sponge and apply a stripe of your lighter color

Apply a stripe of your darker color right above the first stripe, making them overlap slightly.

Dab your makeup sponge on your nail.

Repeat steps 3-5 until you get the coverage you want.

Clean up around your nail using a qtip dipped in nail polish remover.
