Locate and define the accent wall in the room you would like to add the geometric patten to. I chose to accent a wall in my home office.

Make sure your accent wall is in good condition to paint. If not, patching may be required before painting begins.

Prep wall with water base primer. Let dry. Once primer is completely dry, paint base color. The base color is the first color selected and it will be the color that shows under your top coat.

Once base coat is completely dry begin applying blue painters tape on the wall creating geometric shapes.

Apply painters tape in any direction to make a shape. Creating long, big, narrow, shapes allows for a dynamic look. Start with big shapes in the first stage and work your way down to smaller ones.

Now it's time to apply your top coat, second color (lighter color). You can reverse the base and top colors if needed. I chose a dark color as my base because I wanted gold as my color of shapes.

Paint top coat over painters tape. Make sure you apply more than one coat to hide the base color. Once top coat is completely dry, slowly remove painters tape. Your geometric shapes will now appear!
