How to paint an old suitcase

Wipe clean with a wet cloth, make sure there is no dust or dirt, gently sand any metal parts

With a sponge paint brush and regular flat latex paint (I used Benjamin moore grey) start painting, cover everything. Metal parts, handle all of it.

Allow to dry until u can touch it (mine took 20 minutes) then apply a second coat. Allow to dry to touch.

Then stylize, its a cute and functional display. Great for storing things you don't want out but still want to keep. I keep my grandmas doilies in mine.
