How to paint a landscape using a kitchen spatula

Start with red, yellow and blue paint. Mix for green, purple and orange.

Paint the base using small short dabs. Start with yellow over the top 2/3rds of your base. Lightest colors MUST be placed first.

Add orange and reds.

Every stroke of color must be broken by another color.

Know start on the ground work. This must be done in HORIZONTAL strokes.

Add white to break up the green!

You want to add every color possible to the ground for interest.

Now for the trees! Use a little dark blue and purple on the side of your knife and drag the knife down from the top of the canvas.

Start with the furthest back and thinnest tree.

Doesn't have to be solid.

Let the branches cross each other!

Left side complete. Do the same for the right side. I added 5 trees.

Once the trees are complete. Place more dabs of yellow, red, orange , pink and white on top.
