How to paint a color wheel

First label your color wheel and answer the questions to the right.

Put a quarter sized amount of red, yellow and blue on your scrap paper.

Paint the 3 primary colors: RED, YELLOW & BLUE

Now you will make the first secondary color: ORANGE. Drag a small amount of yellow over and then add an even smaller amount of red to it. Paint the ORANGE section with this color.

Now add a small amount of red to half of your orange to make RED-ORANGE. Be sure to only add it to half of the Orange.

Paint your RED-ORANGE section with this color.

Now mix YELLOW into the other half of your Orange to make YELLOW ORANGE.

Paint your YELLOW ORANGE section.

Now you will mix your next SECONDARY color: GREEN. Drag a small amount of yellow to the side and add an even smaller amount of blue to it. This should make GREEN.

Paint your GREEN section.

Now add a small amount of yellow to half of your green. This should make YELLOW GREEN.

Paint your yellow green section.

On the other half of the green add a small amount of blue. This should make BLUE-GREEN.

Paint the BLUE GREEN section.

Now you will make your last secondary color: PURPLE. Drag a small amount of red to the side. Add an even smaller amount of blue. This should make PURPLE.

Paint your PURPLE (VIOLET) section.

Now add a small amount of red to half of your purple. This should make RED PURPLE (RED VIOLET).

Paint your RED PURPLE (RED VIOLET) section.

Now add a small amount of blue to the other side of your purple. This should make BLUE PURPLE (BLUE VIOLET).

Paint the BLUE VIOLET section.

Now your color wheel should look like this!
